Hi, i want to add a new SSD to my PC and i cant find out what kind of SATA is supported by the hp Tampa 2 8437 Mainboard.

According to the Intel chipset specs for your PC's motherboard, the SATA Controller is SATA III (6.0 GB/S).

I see you accepted the answer, here @LouisLallemand 
but as you mention wanting a new SSD, without specifying if just add, in addition to the existing one
is that the idea ..?
Your computer has an m2 type SSD drive, but very small!
maybe it would be more interesting to replace it with a bigger one
Adding an SSD and can be useful, but having a 256 gb m2, I know that is already very fair, for installing windows and programs
The m2 is much faster than the sata SSD!

Hello 

Yes the idea was to add a new SSD. I alredy noticed the M2 beeing realy smal but i dont realy feel like going thro the trubble of reinstalling everything on the new M2. Thanks anyway for the suggestion.
