When I tried to start my PC it wouldn’t start the fan first spinned and after 1 second it didn’t spin it did it until I removed the power from the pc. The PSU blinked green very fast. What do I have to do and with what PSU I have to replace it?

Greetings @FinnHD

Welcome to the HP Forum.

A failing power supply is on the list of possibilities.

Any ATX power supply having similar dimensions and equivalent or greater wattage output will work with your PC if you want to try a replacement PSU.

This symptom can also be caused by a: component short or peripheral short.

Try to start the PC with only a monitor to check USB ports.

Then reduce the PC to a minimum configuration:

- Power supply
- Existing MB and CPU
- one stick of known good RAM
- Onboard CPU graphics, if the CPU and MB supports this option, or a different, known good, graphics card

A wild card problem could be a failing chassis power button.

You should test the installed CR2032 MB battery and replace if required.

You would now have to swap in different components, one at a time, (power supply, CPU and MB) to check for a successful POST if the PC will not start in a minimum configuration.

Swapping in different base components is expensive. I recommend using a local PC Tech if your PC will not POST in a minimum configuration and your PC is not in the warranty period.
