@Saksham22, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Device Not Powering On!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When your HP device does not start even after pressing the power button and shows only a light when plugged in, it could indicate a few possible issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

Possible Causes and Solutions:

Power Connection and Adapter:

  • Ensure the power cord is firmly connected to both the device and the power adapter.
  • Test the wall outlet by plugging in another device to confirm it is working. If using a power strip, ensure it is turned on.

Reset the Device:

  • Turn off the device completely.
  • Unplug the power cord and remove any batteries (if applicable).
  • Wait a few moments before reconnecting the power cord and re-inserting the batteries.
  • Press the power button to turn on the device.

Check Power Button:

  • Ensure you are pressing the power button properly. Sometimes pressing too quickly can cause the device not to respond.

Battery Issues: (if the device uses a battery)

  • If the device uses a battery, ensure it is properly inserted and charged.
  • If the battery is removable, try booting the device without the battery and with the power cord only to check if the battery is the issue.

Use a Different Charger:

  • If possible, test with a different charger to see if the issue is with the adapter.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
