@Nitish374, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-s0000 - Gaming Laptop Sudden Shutdown Issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-s0000 is suddenly shutting down during gameplay, it may be due to various reasons such as hardware faults, overheating, or software issues. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

1. Check for Overheating

  • Ensure proper ventilation: Make sure that the laptop's vents are not blocked and keep it on a flat surface that allows air to flow freely.
  • Use cooling pads: Consider using cooling pads to increase airflow to the laptop.
  • Clean the vents: Dust can accumulate in and around the vents over time. Clean them regularly to prevent overheating.

2. Update Drivers and Software

  • Update graphics drivers: Outdated graphics drivers can cause crashes during gameplay. Update your graphics drivers to the latest version.
  • Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
  • OMEN Gaming Hub: Make sure your OMEN Gaming Hub software is updated to manage performance settings and monitor system health effectively.

3. Check Power Settings

  • Check adapter connection: Ensure that the adapter barrel connector is inserted smoothly and fully into the DC barrel jack in a single motion to avoid triggering "Incompatible Mode."
  • Battery health: Verify the health status of your battery. Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery and check the battery health report.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
