OMEN OBELISK DESKTOP PC - 875-1040ST, 6FH15AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey All,

I have the new 2019 Omen Obelisk (875-1040ST, 6FH15AV) with a 2080 Nvidia GPU. There are lights on the bottom of the GPU BUT there is no way to change them using the Omen Command Center!!!!

I found out that the LED lights on the Nvidia 2080TI GPU can be controlled by the Omen Command Center when I saw this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD5I-_00TVI (at 5:30 timestamp). You can also see a screenshot here: https://ibb.co/3M8WqR1

So how can I not control my GPU LED lights with my 2080 GPU? It literally has the same lights but no controls... What if I want to change my case lights to blue or pink.... Then my GPU stays RED uhg...

Any thoughts? Is it something HP could fix in the software??

Hello @Coffee2222

I have asked an HP person who is over the Command Center testing and was told it was only the 2080ti that has RGB.

I would assume there are no planes to up grade the software as most likely the red LEDs you are seeing now are a fixed color LED, not RGB capable.

Uhggg they must be fixed then because they are def. There...

What a design flaw, I mean what if multiple people use the comp and one wants to make the inside all green? You can't... it is green then red at the bottom!!!!

Hmmm I guess I will have to customize the case with my own lighting.

Do you think I should double check with HP first? Aren't multiple color LEDs cheap? Isn't that the point of computer rgb strips lol??

Thats up to you. Im just pointing out the facts on how it comes.

If you physically alter the case for example, you could possibly void your warranty.

You could contact HP and it might not be a bad idea.
