Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a HP OMEN 880-020na PC and was wondering if the Higos motherboard in it will support the 2nd generation AMD Ryzen CPU's? Also is there a BIOS update available or will one be released? There seems to be a problem with the HP Support website right now to check for drivers / BIOS updates etc..... Thanks.

Hi

 

There is a BIOS update for your MB. This update only references security fixes.

 

The processor will fit in the socket on your MB but HP would have to update the microcode to allow the system to see the latest Ryzen processors.

Thanks 🙂  I ended up putting a ryzen 7 1800X in it and then selling it. What an overpriced piece of.......... the HP OMEN is.
