Will the Pavilion 790-0000 upgrade to i7-9700?

The heading says it all. I know what the manual for this computer states. It states that replacement cpu is the ii7 8700.  I run across many HP computers that will actually upgrade more than the manual states. What I'm curious about is will this Pavilion 790-0077c  upgrade to the i7-9700?

Look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" to see the compatible processors.  HP has their motherboards made to their specifications and use only certain components in each model.

Thank you for your polite answer and I will try an give a like response. First!  Did you really read past the header? I clearly stated that I was completely aware of what "the manual says." Second I have upgraded scores of HP computers beyond what the "the manual says". I realize the "company answer" is probably all you are allowed to give. It's kind of like Microsoft saying Windows 10 "will not work" on the thousands of PC's they are running just fine on. I also realize that hardware is slightly different than software. I mean no disrespect. I can't tell you have many different questions I have read in this forum that some of the people giving answers haven't read one word of the original post.

Part of my response is coming from a growing disrespect of HP. You see I have this HP (sort of, but not really) gaming machine. I have done nothing to it that would void the warranty. I have a problem i need warranty service on. I can't get the service  from HP because they say that my warranty has expired. It expired ONE MONTH BEFORE I even ordered it. Yes I can dispute it. I disputed it SIX times with proof of purchase . Yet, I have received not one response from HP. NOT ONE! Yes. I  checked my SPAM folder for responses. I have the last PC I will ever buy from HP. I'll build my own and then if I have and issue it's on me. I feel the term[edit] in my near future.

The specifications on the website are tested compatibility, then HP "moves on". There is no "look-back" to upgrade hardware. So, that said, your attitude was not necessary. We are limited by the specifications provided.

An example: HP has proprietary PSU designs.  The use of adapters, modification of wiring, and frankenweenie mods are not commonly suggested if that change would endanger the user or the product.

WIN 10 upgrade is suggested for only computers meeting specific hardware minimums.  There are untested variations.  Software manufacturers upgrade hardware requirements. Microsoft has ceased IE 11 compatibility with Adobe scripts, or was it vice-versus. Either way, IE11 and Edge have ceased to be main stream browsers. Now MS Edge is being revamped with IE tabs to attempt to gather more than 10% of the browser market, as web developers quit coding for IE11.

Now, I am going to tell you as politely as possible, I answered your question.  I know that some people have made statements about other components working that are not on the compatibility list.  We as volunteers for HP do not normally state this fact.  If we are incorrect it doesn't look good for HP.  If you want to do something that is not stated in the Specifications, it is your prerogative to do so.  Oh, by the way, don't take out your frustrations on me.  These type of rude comments are not tolerated on these Forums.
