ok so I want to know if the motherboard (I think it's a uatx) from my old slimline 260p can fit inside of a micro-atx/mini itx case. The case in particular is called the thermal take versa H18

@Mahis2 , welcome to the Community.

HP has their motherboards and cases made to their specifications.  Therefore, it is always very difficult to know if the holes in the motherboards will match the stand-offs in the case.  Also, the connectors on the motherboards don't always match those in the new case.

Here are the specifications for the case that you mentioned.  You should select the section titled "Specifications".  I suggest that you contact the manufacturer's Tech Support to see if they can tell you if their case is compatible with the HP motherboard.
