I have a new computer and I'm having issues with wireless mouse connectivity. I've tried all the regular troubleshooting. I've tried two separate wireless mice and they are both having the same issue. The connection is choppy and sometimes works, sometimes doesn't work. The mouse is in close proximity to the computer and both of the mice worked fine with the old computer. One of the mice is a Logitech brand and the other is Insignia brand.  Are there any known issues with wireless mouse connectivity with this computer? Thanks for your help.

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there's an issue with mouse connectivity.

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's try these steps to re-install the mouse drivers -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
2) Expand the "Mice & the other pointing devices" heading.
3) The mouse is labeled HID-compliant mouse, or similar. Right-click the HID-compliant mouse and select Uninstall.
4) Confirm the uninstallation.
5) Restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, try updating the computer -

Step 1  Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Click on this link to run Windows Updates troubleshooter.

Step 2 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 3 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Let me know how that goes.

This didn't work for me. I uninstalled the mice, plugged them back in, same issues. They work very choppy if they work at all. If I get the mouse very close to the computer tower, almost touching it, then both of them work great. But if I move them away even 4 feet they stop working. It's pretty frustrating to have a new computer that won't work with either of the wireless mice I have.

The wireless keyboard has issues too. If I plug the usb plug in the rear of the computer it won't work at all. If I plug it into the front port on the top it works fine.  What could be preventing these from functioning properly. The mice and the keyboard worked flawlessly with my old computer even across the room. Being tethered to a wired mouse doesn't work well for me at all.
