@Tomxx3 , welcome to the forum.

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

Thank you for the additional information, @Tomxx3!

You won't be able to overclock your processor because it isn't Unlocked.  It would have to be a model with a "K", such as, i7-8700K.  You could upgrade the processor to a i7-8700K as shown in the Product Specifications: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-880-100-desktop-pc-series/18695893/model/22882707/do...

I was able to overclock the i7-8700K in one of my HP Omen desktops to 5.2 MHz using Omen Command Center.  HP recommends using OCC because there are safe-guards built into it.  I used Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) to OC one of my Omens and fried the motherboard.  I wasn't being extreme and we never did discover what happened.  So, be extremely careful when OC'ing.

Look at the section tilted "Processor/Processor upgrade information" for this information.  These are the only processors that have been fully tested to assure they are compatible with the motherboard.
