Hi guys i have a ( Hp 27mx )using it for xbox one console my issue is on the viewing mode i select game mode freesync...and its response time is set to level 3...when i try change response time to level 5 which is the fastest response time it saves the viewing mode as custom mode... and then it kicks me out of game mode ....why cant i select responses time level 5 and keep it on game freesync mode help will greatly be appreciated thank you ALL.

@WelcomeK , welcome to the forum.
XBox is running on what is known as Xbox OS or Xbox Dashboard. This is not a true Win 10. Your monitor is meant to run on Win 10 or Win 7. Therefore, I believe that the problem is being caused by this situation; not the monitor itself. The monitor is actually controlled by the device to which it is connected. I suggest that you contact XBox Tech Support to see if they have any ideas that will help solve your problem. They are the experts on their products.
