Hi there @Deepakkumarsen, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

A blue screen error (BSOD) can occur due to hardware issues, driver conflicts, or system file corruption. Let’s walk through some steps to identify and resolve the issue.

Note the Error Code

If possible, please share the exact error message or stop code shown on the blue screen (e.g., IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, etc.). This helps pinpoint the cause.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

Use HP's built-in diagnostics to check for hardware issues:

  • Restart your PC and press F2 repeatedly at startup to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • Run System Tests > Extensive Test.

Update Drivers and Windows

Outdated or incompatible drivers often cause BSODs.

  • Open Device Manager and check for any yellow warning icons.
  • Visit HP Support Assistant | HP® Support to automatically detect and install updates.
  • Also, run Windows Update to ensure your system is up to date.

Check for Malware or Corruption

Run a full system scan using Windows Security or your preferred antivirus. You can also check system files:

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: sfc /scannow
  • Then run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Review Reliability Monitor

This tool shows recent system events and failures:

  • Type Reliability Monitor in Windows Search.
  • Look for red Xs around the time of the crash and note any related software or driver.

Check Memory and Storage

  • Run Windows Memory Diagnostic: Type it in search and follow prompts.

Safe Mode Boot

Try booting into Safe Mode:

  • Press Shift + Restart > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart > Choose Safe Mode. If the system is stable in Safe Mode, the issue is likely software-related.

If the suggestions helped solve the problem, please let us know by clicking “Accepted Solution.” It really helps fellow users find quick answers.

A quick “Yes” also goes a long way in showing appreciation!

Take care and happy computing!

Best regards,

Max3Aj
