My steam games all ran great on old machine, pavilion AMD phenome Win 7. The graphics were bad, but worked. My new machine is an Omen 880-130, i7 8700K, GTX 1080 Ti.
I am downloading steam, and games from scratch. files are verified. Games try to load, and graphics are amazing by the way, but they all just crash before game starts. Sometimes get farther into load than others, sometimes get nothing. No error messages, just back to deskstop.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, everything works great until I open up the windows 10 apps screen (first time Win 10 user so bear with me). Anytime the apps are open the screen flashes on and off randomly. All other screens including task manager and chrome browser work great.
Have updated all drivers by the way.

@Monstercanoe , welcome to the forum.
I have had this problem in the past with Steam games. It was caused by the lack of the necessary patches being installed. I know that Steam normally automatically patches their games, but this would be a good place to begin your search for a solution. Also, I suggest going on their Forum to see if they are having problems with the site. I doubt that it is a hardware problem.
Make certain that all of your software and drivers for the computer are up to date.
