hi can i put a 3,5 hhd in hp pavilion 690-0800no black .

can see there is a slot to a hhd . but dont see extra power cables to one hhd .

bought the gamer pc to my boy and want some extra hhd space . because the 250 ssd is to small .and dont think a usb hhd is the best way to install games and play from . think at the transfer rate/speed .

Hi,

You can install a 3.5" HDD or a 2.5" SSD. You will need a SATA cable to connect the drive to motherboard.

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-18-Inch-Cable-Locking-90-Degree/dp/B009GUXU52/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UT...

Look if there is an extra Sata power connector coming from the Power supply. If not, you could get a splitter and use the power cable going to DVD drive and split with adaptor cable:

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=sata+power+s...

Look on page 12 of below guide:

You should use this drive as storage and install any applications on the M2 SSD the PC came with as it is much faster,

Hope it helps,

David

Please clcik on thumbs up for thanks
