can i put a 300 series motherboard and a i5-8600 processor in a hp pavilion 570-p050? as an upgrade.  i have not changed anything on it up to this point. so specs are still same as it comes, and all i want to upgrade is motherboard, processor and heat sink/cooling fan if need be

The Lubin motherboard (MB) (Link) installed in your PC is not a standard uATX MB or mini ATX MB.

Doing this upgrade depends on how the rear I/O shield is attached to the case and whether the chassis has the correct standoffs to match a retail replacement MB. You may have get a new Windows product key if you can successfully replace the Lubin MB.

Hi,

You are probably going to have a problem installing a retail MB in your PC. So the following point of interest is academic.

You are changing the processor and the MB. This is usually a big red flag to Microsoft Activation Servers.

The HP factory operating system is not transferable to a new PC. 

Changing the MB and the processor is like building a new PC. Your PC is not a HP PC anymore.
