computer isnt working right from the start

wile playing wow the game closes for no reason and now the sound stops working and half the time when i turn on the computer it will not show a display i have to wiggle the mouse hit the space bar and turn the mon on and off multi times evertime i turn this box of junk on it only about a month old i dont get it i knew i shouldnt have gotten a hp

@kyleminor, welcome to the forum.


I am sorry that you are having problems with your new computer.  Let's see what we can do to solve the problems.


There are several things that you should try:


1) Update the BIOS.  There is a new update here.  Follow the steps carefully.

2) Update all of the drivers.  Run both Windows Update and HP Update in HP Support Assistant.

3) Check all of the connections inside of the case and out.  Sometimes connections can get loosened in shipment.  If you have a different power cord you might try it, also.


Once you have done these things, let me know what happens.
