Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a basic monitor but no plug in in back or front of system. do i need a different monitor? am i missing something?

There is no picture documentation.  Look at this and tell me what you have on the REAR of the computer.

If you asking about the monitor, it has to have one of those connections on the back.
