My hard disk (WD_Black Gen4 SDCPNRY-1too-1106) is end of life. At least a diagnostic test states this. Do I need to replace and if so what by or canI revive the disk in any way

Greetings @WHMV
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Yes, you would probably need to replace this drive if HP Diagnostics is flagging the drive.
Can you run Windows using this drive? Is the PC acting erratic?
Run an extensive HP Diagnostics drive test, if you have not done this, to verify.
You can do any PCIe NVME SSD you want.
You will have to reinstall W11 or do a HP Cloud Recovery on the new SSD.
The best you can expect is recovering data from the failing drive if it is not totally cooked.
You could internally connect the failing SSD to a different PC as a data drive or buy an M.2 PCIe NVME to USB adapter to see if data is recoverable on a different PC or your PC after you install the new drive and reinstall Windows on your PC.
