Greetings @malcyorks

Welcome to the HP Forum

Your PC's specs are Here. The Savoy MB Ryzen 3200U, FP5, 15W part number used in your PC is L39043-001

The Ryzen 3200U FP5 socket is a BGA socket. CPUs using BGA sockets are soldered to the CPU socket, and not easily replaceable.

You could contact HP Support for a MB/CPU combo replacement quote if this component is in stock.

Or check eBay using HP part number L39043-001 .

Hi there

is it my imagination or do hp want nothing to do with this product!!

I’ve asked them for a quote to fix it and get no reply even though they promise to reply.

Sorry to see this.

I don't work for HP so I can't assist further.

The eBay option may be available if HP can't replace the components.

Got a reply from HP after spending nearly 2 hours on the web/phone. They said it would cost £490.00 to fix the all in one which is more than it actually cost.

as I said earlier they are treating this 4 year old item as a throwaway.

eBay has some used purchase options if you really want to fix the PC.

Contact the prospective eBay seller to verify the MB includes the CPU and both components work. Check the seller's return policy.

Then get a component replacement quote from a local PC Tech.

I don't buy used PC components. But many folks do this with great success.
