hp omen (fps drop)
07-24-2017 07:01 PM

Hello I bought a gaming notebook hp omen and I just use to play rust, gta v among others and the fps are always dropping from 60/70 + to 30 fps.

Hi,
If the game starts at 60/70 fps and then drops to 30 fps then there is a possibility of thermal throttling. Also, review this thread for other suggestions.

Hello,
Thermal throttling may be the one of the culprints, try checking your internet connectivity, most open world multiplayer games that you have mentioned may also leed to fps drop because of download and upload speed, try doing an internet speed test, if the problem still presists while having the needed or desired internet speed, then i suggest checking for thermal throttling issues.
Hope this helps 🙂

Hi.
What cpu do you got in your system?.
I have the same issue in BF1 due to my cpu isnt fast enough for a cpu heavy game.
That might be the case in GTA.
Try singel player vs multiplayer to see if there is a difference.
