Hi,
Your PC already came with a 256GB PCIe NVMe drive, so you will need to remove it and replace with the Samsung 970 evo or pro. There are no capacity limitations (maybe only the prize) and those SSDs are considered the best.
In these HP videos you can see how to replace the drive (click on solid state drive in list on left)

Hope it helps,
David

As per your specs you have a "256 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 Solid State Drive" already installed.
These Videos should help with any Upgrade and or repair:
How to Replace the M.2 Solid State Drive for OMEN by HP Obelisk 875-0xx Desktop PC and OMEN by HP 870-xxx Desktop PC

Wow the link and videos are completely different.
The old one you posted "That I found" disappeared for 4-6 weeks and just last month came back.
It will disappear permanently like the one before that "That I found" and the links will be no good:
The new link will be there as long as HP is.
Best regards,

Have you watched the two videos? Can you point out the difference?
Do you have inside knowledge that the link will be removed in the future?
Let me know,
David
