@Patel1304, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding rapid battery drain!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Rapid battery drain is generally not expected for a newly operated laptop, and it might indicate potential issues that need addressing. To help mitigate battery drain and improve battery life, you can follow these steps:

Adjust Power Settings: Ensure your laptop is set to 'Battery Saver' mode which can prolong battery life.

  • Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery > Battery Saver.

Update Drivers and Software: Make sure your laptop's drivers and operating system are up-to-date. HP provides driver updates and software patches that can help with battery performance.

  • Visit the HP Support website to download the latest updates.

Reduce Brightness: Lower the screen brightness to conserve battery.

  • Adjust the brightness settings typically found in the display settings or quick settings menu.

Disable Unnecessary Features and Apps: Turn off features that you are not using, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi when not needed, and background applications that consume power.

Battery Calibration: Sometimes, performing a battery calibration can help improve battery performance.

  • Charge your laptop to 100%, then use it until it fully discharges to 0%. Then, recharge it to 100% again.

Check Battery Health: HP provides tools to check battery health to see if there are any issues.

  • Use the HP Support Assistant or the HP Battery Check tool.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
