Hi @Velur_,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP OMEN Desktop PC 25L might be experiencing some hardware issues if you're hearing a beeping sound at regular intervals. Typically, a single beep repeated at regular intervals could indicate a hardware problem, such as a component failing to initialize properly during startup.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check the beep code: Different BIOS manufacturers use different beep codes to indicate various hardware problems. You'll need to refer to your motherboard's manual or HP's support documentation to identify what the specific beep code means for your system.
  • Inspect internal components: Open up your PC case and ensure that all internal components, such as RAM, graphics card, and CPU, are properly seated. Sometimes, loose connections can cause beeping sounds.
  • Check for overheating: Overheating components can trigger beep codes. Make sure all fans are working properly, and consider cleaning out any dust buildup inside the case.
  • Update drivers and BIOS: While the beeping sound may not be directly related to driver issues, it's still a good idea to ensure that your drivers and BIOS are up-to-date. However, if you're experiencing difficulties updating drivers, it could indicate a separate issue.

Regarding the driver update issue, it's possible that it could be related to the beeping sound if there's a problem with the hardware causing the driver update process to fail.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

While HP doesn't have an official document listing single beeps every 20 seconds specifically, similar beep codes often indicate issues with RAM or the motherboard.
It's crucial to determine the exact beep pattern (length, number of beeps) as different patterns point to different problems. Try counting the beeps and noting any variations in their length.

Check Basic Connections:

Ensure all cables are securely plugged into their respective ports, especially power cables and internal connections.
Re-seat the RAM modules by gently removing and reinserting them firmly. Ensure they are properly seated in their slots.
If possible, try using different RAM modules to isolate if the issue is RAM-related.
Update BIOS:

Download the latest BIOS update from HP's support website (<invalid URL removed>) specific to your model (OMEN Desktop PC 25L GT11-0000i / GT12-0000i).
Follow the update instructions carefully, as incorrect BIOS updates can lead to further problems.
Run Hardware Diagnostics:

HP provides built-in hardware diagnostics tools to test various components. Access them by restarting your PC and repeatedly pressing F2 during startup. Look for any error messages or failing tests.
Alternatively, download and run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI from https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-pc-hardware-diagnostics.
Check Event Viewer:

Right-click on the Start menu and select "Event Viewer".
Look for any recent errors or warnings related to hardware, especially around the time the beeps occur. The timestamps might help pinpoint the issue.
