Hi @haswath,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the left speaker of your Victus By HP 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop PC is not working, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Check Volume Settings: Make sure that the volume settings on your laptop are properly configured. Sometimes the speaker volume might be turned down or muted. Look for the volume control icon in the system tray and adjust the volume accordingly.
  • Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve audio issues. Restart your laptop and check if the left speaker starts working again.
  • Update Audio Drivers: Outdated or corrupted audio drivers can cause speaker problems. Visit the official HP support website and download the latest audio drivers for your laptop model. Install them and see if the issue is resolved.
  • Check Sound Settings: Check your laptop's sound settings to ensure that the left speaker is not disabled or configured incorrectly. Go to the Sound settings in the Control Panel and make sure the correct playback device is selected.
  • External Speakers/Headphones: Connect external speakers or headphones to your laptop to determine if the issue is specific to the built-in left speaker or if it's a broader audio issue.
  • Test with Different Media: Try playing different types of media (music, videos, games) to see if the issue persists across all of them. This will help you determine if the problem is software-related or specific to certain applications.
  • Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes, software conflicts can cause audio issues. If you've recently installed or updated any software, especially audio-related applications, try uninstalling or disabling them temporarily to see if the left speaker starts working.
  • Hardware Check: If the above steps don't work, there might be a hardware issue with the left speaker itself. It's possible that a connection has come loose or the speaker is damaged.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
