HP Omen 880-068 (I think)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a prebuilt hp omen Higos motherboard with the ryzen 5 1400 and GeForce gt 1030. What are some upgrades I can do? I was thinking about a ryzen 5 2600 and a MSI GeForce gtx 1050 ti. Will those work?

@LoneWolf6125 , welcome to the forum.

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-880-000-desktop-pc-series/15776604/model/22506254/do...

If you look at the section titled "Processor/Processor upgrade information" you will see a list of compatible processors.  If they are on this list they have been fully tested to assure that they are fully compatible.  As you will see, the Ryzen 5-2600 is not on the list.  This means that it most likely won't work.

As for the video card, you are limited by the power supply unit (PSU).  It is only 300W.  Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will help you with making a choice of cards and what to consider:  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Knowledge-Base/Upgrade-Video-Card/ta-p/7447100

The GTX 1050 Ti is a good card:  https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-1050-ti/specifications

The specifications state that the minimum PSU is 300W, but this is not always correct.  I suggest that you choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system.  They are the experts on their products.  Each of them has their own specifications for the same model.  They add or subtract features.

Thanks. The link you put for the video card and the psu doesn’t work though.
