Hello
it's easy to answer yes @Slowgo
please specify the computer model, and what exactly happened to you!

I don't know if you will have an answer
but we must not mix everything up.
what happens to you, is not necessarily the same problem as another, and if not the same material, the answer will not be worth much

anyway, the computer is guaranteed, take advantage if you have contacted support or your reseller!

Hi,

Symptoms can be misleading. Other component failure can cause symptoms which seem to indicate a bad power supply.

Your PC should have a one year warranty. Contact HP Support (Link to Support) for warranty service.

Regards
