Adding on some additional information as i worked to figured this out.
...the new fan is a Corsair ML120 Pro.
And because from what I can tell, the motherboard did not have another connector for a fan (even though the case is designed to allow the add on of a 120 fan on the ceiling of the case), I bought a fan connector hub off Amazon. I had the stock case fan and new fan plugged into the hub and the hub into the motherboard. This was giving me system fan error 90b.
Doing some process of elimination, i pluggd the stock fan into the MB and restarted, no error. So this is not related to the new power supply.
Plugged just the hub with new fan into MB, error.
Plugged just the new fan straight to the MB, no error.
Source of problem - fan hub.
I can also add that i noticed with the new fan plugged into the hub, it was running at high RPM. It was much louder than I thought it would be. With it plugged directly to the MB, i can't even tell it's there.
So any suggestions on how to connect both fans? Is there another connector on the MB or can anyone recommend a hub that is not going to blow up my PC?
Thanks!
