@paluba1 , welcome to the forum.
Here is the Illustrated Parts and Service Map for the computer. On Page 2 is a list of the compatible video cards. The problem you will have using one that is not on that list is, the power supply unit (PSU) is only 320W. Most of the newer cards require 400W to operate properly. Also, the newer cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS. HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012. Your computer was released in 2012, but I don't know if it was late enough to have UEFI. The BIOS can't be upgraded to UEFI.
Your best option is to choose a video card manufacturer that you like and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system.
Note: Upgrading the PSU is very difficult because the main power connector is only 6-pins.
