I want to upgrade my graphics card in my Victus HP 15L TG02-1XXX, but most of them require 550+w. The current is 500 W 80 Plus Bronze certified power supply. Is there an option to upgrade the psu, and if so what part should I buy to fit my computer?

@jb23475890,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

There is a compatible 650-watt power supply for your PC, with HP part number: L57253-003 / L36048-003 / L36049-003.

You can buy one of these power supplies online, such as this eBay purchase option: For HP 800 G3 G4 G5 Z2 Z1 TE01 TG01 Envy-795-0003UR 650W PSU Power Supply 4+4Pin | eBay.

Kind Regards,

Hi NonSequitur777, I know this is off-topic but I tried opening my own one and no one responded, that too you have lots of experience with HP Z420s. Hello, I have a HP Z420v1 with a 600W PSU and it originally came with a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450, which I replaced with a RX 470. When I put in the RX 470 and plugged in the necessary PCIe connector (one 6-pin), it POSTed into Windows 10 but then suddenly I got 6 beeps and a red flashing power button, and then it turned off. I tried with a RX 560 but the same thing happened, except this time it didn't POST and instead started beeping 6 times. Now when I try with a NVS 450 it refuses to POST, even after resetting the CMOS. The bottom slot (Slot 5) that is wired as PCIe 3.0 x16 does work however. Clearing the CMOS using the yellow button seems to work, which let me put a Quadro FX 3450 in, however any other card refuses to work.

You might want to just open a support ticket. I have no idea what their SLA is though (if it's not under one of their ridiculous warranty plans)... not very impressed with HP in general.
