Hello so as i am upgrading my ssd for more space and better gaming i thought about putting another 8gb of ram in my desktop PC the issue is i cant seem to find the exact brand of ram, im upgrading to 16gb, can someone help me find and tell me the ram that the desktop pc uses?

HP doesnt give all the details of the memory because it could be several choices. What ever the factory had at that moment.
Most likely its Hynix, but you dont have to have the same brand.
You just need to look up the existing timings and match them with another.
Use a tool like Speccy or CPUz to look them up. They are free to download.
You can order from HP directly, but it will be pricey.
part number 860399-800 | Memory - RAM, GNRC, UDIMM 8G DDR4 1.2V 2400 |
I would go with another brand like Crucial, Kingston, etc.
Crucial has a memory finder tool that works on their website and the guarantee the ram to work also.
