upgrading power supply for omen pc 870 224

Hey so im still kinda new in the pc building section of things so currently i wanna upgrade my graphics card to a good better card and i currently still dont know which one can fit or be used with the mother board here are the specs i have already changed some things to make it better currently i changed the CPU From the i5 to the i7 6700 4.0ghz and changed the ram to 2 18 ram making it a 32 ram total so my question is kinda a to parter the first one is should i and can i change the power supply? if so what will fit and be compatible with my pc. i already had people saying i can aim for a GPU like a rtx 2060 its just im wondering if the power supply needs to be changed

Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will tell you what to consider when upgrading the video card:


The two major things to consider are 1) the length of the card and 2) the wattage required to run it properly.  With the new cards, RTX 2060, you have to consider the PCIe power connector required.  The 2060 requires 1x8-pin:


You can check the connector on your current video card to see if there is a 8-pin connector.  If so, your power supply unit (PSU) should be fine.  It has the wattage that is recommended (500w).
