15-dc0030nr compatible with oculus rift

After looking at the forums, it appears there may be some compatibility issues with the oculus rift. Is the omen 15-dc0030nr compatible with the oculus rift via the hdmi port? Is that port on the CPU or is it direct to the video card? Are there any ports that go direct to the video card?

And Oculus Rift needs

   Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output

You can use mini Display port to HDMI female to connect HDMI

I myself have an

OMEN by HP - 17-an040nd

And have tried the club3D CAC-1180 adapter. It gave intermitted visuals...

Red horizontal lines, pink and green dots, black flashes, etc.

Any information regarding the active/passive/bandwith aspect of those adapters that should work?

Update: I purchased the 15-dc0030nr Omen Laptop and it did indeed work with oculus rift out of the box by plugging the rift headset right into the HDMI port and USB port on the back. The 2 additional USB ports worked with each oculus rift tracking camera. I love my system! The only drawback to the laptop is cooling. I would buy a cooling pad.
