Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi brand new Omen

 

Keeps failing when trying to up date to win 10 creators edition, downloads and in stalls but on rebooting attains 70% then rolls back to previous version.  It displays a bar code with a fault code but clears to fast to read, wear can i find the stop error after the computer reboots a new note book that is unabel to run latest softwear.

Next thing, regarding the recovery partition, the only other way to install Windows would be to order the recovery media for your laptop and using the recovery media you can install Windows. You can check if the recovery media is available online on www.hp.com/drivers by entering the exact model no. of your laptop. To find the exact model no. click here: http://hp.care/2bygf7l

 

HP PCs - Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive

 

Otherwise, you could also reach HP phone support to order the recovery media. If your product is out of warranty, please choose paid options to get the tech support number.

 

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get the phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community! I came across your post and wanted to assist you. I understand you are having issues installing Windows 10 creators update on your new HP Omen laptop. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you.

 

As I understand the computer gets a blue screen error, However, since you haven’t captured the error code or message, 

I would request you to follow the below steps to capture and reply back with the error message/code to identify the issue and find a permanent fix: 

  • In Windows, search for and open View advanced system settings. 

  • In the Advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery, click Settings. 

  • Under System Failure, remove the check mark next to automatically restart, and then click OK. 

  • Restart the computer to apply the change. 

  • The computer no longer restarts automatically when a blue screen error occurs.

​​Please reply back with the error code as the issue is code specific and it would be rather easier to provide an accurate solution using the same.

Got a shot of the error and it translated to a Software or Hardware error, tried doing it several times in the end i just gave up as i needed to use the laptop so i made up a USB drive with Creator Edition on it and did a clean install with that all went well reinstalled the hp software after, all now running well.

 

Only silly thing I did not make up a recovery media up so it will nor not let me access the factory recovery drive not in it's self a problem but would be nice to have.  if you have any suggestions on how to reinstall Recovery manager I would be great full.
