2020 hp omen vent holes by keyboard

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

What are the holes by the top keyboard for near the display? Speakers or air vents?

Speakers and vent are at the bottom of your machine

Are you talking about the area on the following image ?

 

                      holes 1.png

 

They can't be vents because we close machine very often specially when using external monitor(s). I believe they are for decoration, keep machine lighter and also help a bit air flow.
