@stationair2007, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Victus 15!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I know how frustrating it must be to have a brand-new laptop suddenly stop working, especially after just a day of use. Let’s try a few steps to bring it back to life.

Power Reset

Since the laptop isn't showing any signs of life, a power reset might help:

Unplug the charger and disconnect any peripherals (USB drives, external mouse, etc.).

If the laptop has a removable battery, take it out. (Most Victus models have built-in batteries, so if that’s the case, skip this step.)

Press and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds.

Plug the charger back in (but don’t turn it on just yet).

Now, try turning it on and see if there’s any response.

Check the Charger & Power Connection

Make sure you're using the original HP charger that came with the laptop.

Try plugging it into a different power outlet or using another compatible HP charger if available.

Look for any LED lights on the charger port—if there's no light, the issue could be with the charger or battery.

Check for Display Issues

Even if the laptop looks "dead," sometimes the screen might just not be displaying anything. Try shining a flashlight at the screen to see if there's a faint image—if you see one, the screen might be the problem.

Let me know how it goes!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
