Product: HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B1AV)

Hello, I have been using this product for about 5 months. The battery of my previous product died within 4 years and I had to use it in the socket all the time. I don't would like to the same thing to happen. When I first bought this product, the sales people told me to have it plugged in while using it. What is your recommended usage recommendation?
