After bios update, laptop fans spin up to 100% at boot, for about 4 seconds. Is it possible to rollback bios?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

You could try a BIOS Recovery https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02693833

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

Just to be clear, the system still boots fine.  Just since last bios, the fans spin up as described. It doesn't impact performance in anyway. However, it's a bit unusual that the bios has caused it.

If i use the method you linked, can i choose which Bios to restore, or will it just restore the current one again?

No. If you do a BIOS Recovery it will only try to bring back the previous BIOS version which was successfully working

Hi again,

I've tried that fix. Sadly, nothing has changed. Is it possible to get a link to the second last bios, and I will try the USB method for recovery?

Kind regards,
