After updating computer last night, when the computer was restart I got an error in UFEI which led to a message saying there is no boot drive. Troubleshooting as much as i could, including trying to mess with the bios. What finally got it to boot up was removing my Secondary WD black 500 Gb M.2 ssd. I swapped the ssds and still had the same issue. I put the drive in another pc and it worked perfectly. Seems to always try and boot off of the secondary drive, Cant choose specific drive in bios to boot either

Just bug in hp bios so far when pc restart or crash bios doesn't detect your primary or secondary drive jut make diagnostic to affected drive and it will recognized . Easy 👍😉.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.

Let's run diagnostics to rule out other hard drive issues:

  1. Start or restart the computer.
  2. Press F2 repeatedly during startup to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
  3. Select Component Tests > Hard Drive > Quick Test.
  4. Select drive C:.
  5. Click Run Once.
  6. Once the test completes, results are displayed on the screen.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
