6. Perform a Clean Boot

  • Open Run (Win + R), type msconfig, and press Enter.
  • Under Services, check Hide all Microsoft services and click Disable all.
  • Go to the Startup tab in Task Manager and disable unnecessary apps.

7. Run Windows Troubleshooters

  • Open SettingsUpdate & SecurityTroubleshoot → Run Power Troubleshooter.

8. Perform a System Restore (If Issue Started After Update)

  • Open Control PanelRecoveryOpen System Restore.
  • Choose a restore point before the update and follow the instructions.

9. Check for Windows Update Issues

  • Some Windows updates may cause instability. You can uninstall recent updates:
    • Open SettingsUpdate & SecurityWindows Update.
    • Click View update historyUninstall updates → Remove the latest updates.

If the issue persists, let me know what errors you find in Event Viewer or if any specific action causes the shutdown! 🚀

1. Check for Overheating

  • Since it's a gaming laptop, overheating can cause shutdowns.
  • Use HWMonitor or Core Temp to check CPU/GPU temperatures.
  • Clean the cooling vents and ensure the laptop is placed on a hard, flat surface for better airflow.

2. Update Drivers & BIOS

  • Go to HP Support (support.hp.com) and update:
    • Chipset drivers
    • Graphics drivers (NVIDIA/Intel)
    • BIOS firmware
  • Also, update all device drivers via Device Manager.

3. Disable Fast Startup

  • Open Control PanelPower OptionsChoose what the power buttons do.
  • Click Change settings that are currently unavailable → Uncheck Turn on fast startup.

4. Check Windows Power Settings

  • Go to Control PanelPower Options → Set to High Performance.
  • Click Change plan settingsChange advanced power settings.
