Hi @slt5,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The issue you are experiencing with your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop seems to be related to both the keyboard not functioning properly and a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) error. Let's address these issues one by one.

Keyboard Issue:

  • The problem with the keyboard not working or working abruptly might be caused by a hardware or software issue. To troubleshoot this, try the following steps:
    • Check if an external USB keyboard works properly. This will help determine if it's a hardware or software problem.
    • If an external keyboard works, the issue may be with the laptop's built-in keyboard. In this case, you may need to get it repaired or replaced.
    • If an external keyboard also doesn't work reliably, it might be a software issue. Consider updating or reinstalling keyboard drivers.

TPM Issue:

  • The TPM error message suggests an issue with the Trusted Platform Module, which is responsible for securing your system. You're given the option to reset the TPM, but doing so might require you to enter the BitLocker recovery key to access your Windows installation.
  • If you have the BitLocker recovery key, you can proceed with resetting the TPM by pressing [Y]. This might resolve the TPM data issue.

BitLocker Recovery Key:

  • If you don't have the BitLocker recovery key, you might need to recover it from your Microsoft account or any other secure location where you've stored it. This key is essential to regain access to your encrypted data if you reset the TPM.

Continued Issues:

  • It's concerning that the issue returns even after several resets carried out by the HP online agent. If the problems persist, it could be indicative of a more significant underlying hardware issue.

Remember to back up your important data if possible before proceeding with any resets or repairs to avoid data loss. If

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
