Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I got an HP screen today that said Automatic BIOS update. It started to update the BIOS, but I wasn't sure if it was HP, so I shut it down. I have never had a computer system do this, is it okay?

No, it may be that you have HP Support assistant configured to do the updates automatically or windows update, interrupting a BIOS update may damage your laptop.
