@Christoph1954, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your automatic repair!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop (model 16-k0000) is experiencing issues with the keyboard, RGB lights, sound, and microphone, and the automatic repair does not seem to resolve the issues, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot:

1. Keyboard and RGB Lighting Issues:

  • Check OMEN Gaming Hub: Ensure that the OMEN Gaming Hub software is up to date as it is responsible for controlling the RGB lighting and other gaming-specific functions.
    • Open the OMEN Gaming Hub. You can do this by pressing the OMEN key on the top-right side of your keyboard or by searching for "OMEN Gaming Hub" in the taskbar search box.
    • Within OMEN Gaming Hub, navigate to the Lighting section to customize and check the status of the RGB lights.

2. Sound and Microphone Issues:

  • Check Audio Settings:
    • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select Open Sound settings.
    • Ensure the correct output and input devices are selected under the Output and Input sections.
  • Device Manager:
    • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section, and check if there are any warnings or errors for the sound device drivers. If necessary, right-click the device and select Update driver or Uninstall device, then restart the computer.
    • Similarly, check the Audio inputs and outputs section for microphone issues.

3. Automatic Repair Issues:

  • Boot into Safe Mode:
    • Restart your computer and press F8 or Shift + F8 while it is booting to access the Advanced Boot Options.
    • Select Safe Mode to see if the system responds better in this state.
  • Windows Repair Tool:
    • Use HP PC Windows Safe Mode instructions to enter Safe Mode.
    • Follow on-screen instructions to perform system repair steps, such as using recovery options.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
