Hello.

 

Firstly, I apologize if this has been asked and maybe answered before. I have seen similar posts, but not about the specific model in question.

 

I'm planning on purchasing the HP Omen 15, and considering either the 15-en0263ng (preference) or 15-en0460ng model.

The only issue I have with either is the storage space of 512 GB. So, I've decided to upgrade by purchasing and installing an additional 1TB SSD, since I've heard some models have an additional slot.

 

My question is: do these specific models indeed have two SSD slots, one of which is free?

Unfortunately, I could not find a source where this is explicitly mentioned.

 

In addition, if the answer is yes and in case someone has experience with this: have there been any performance issues with doing so.

Hi:

 

I can only advise you as to what the service manual indicates, since I do not own any notebooks in that model series...

 

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that there is support for two M.2 NVMe SSD's.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

Chapter 5, page 33 refers to using the same procedure when removing both solid state drives.

 

NOTE: Use the same procedure to remove both solid-state drives

Thank you for the quick response and the insights.

 

I see the implication of two solid-state drives in Chapter 5, though I can not seem to find the mention you pointed to in Chapter 1.

 

Either way, I am having doubts since I have asked a local store (I live in Germany) which sells the OMEN 15-en0263ng model whether it has two ports, and their answer was an outright no.

 

I am now trying to ascertain whether the person I contacted simply does not know what they're talking about, or if they are right, given the somewhat unclear specifications.

 

I hope someone has actually purchased the model and can confirm the fact.
