Backlight Bleeding

HP Recommended
OMEN by HP Laptop 17-cb1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I noticed yesterday that my integrated display has backlight bleeding all around the bottom edge and the corners. It's not severe but now that I have seen it, I can't unsee it. As far as I know HP can change the display panel to fix backlight bleeding and seeing as I still have warranty on my laptop I would like to take avail of that and have it fixed properly.

I have recently moved to Ireland but bought the laptop in Germany. What is my best course of action to get my display fixed?

I reviewed your post and I understand that there is a backlight bleed on the display.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Have you checked updating the BIOS and the graphics driver?

I recommend you contact support and they will be able to assist you with the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link –

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
