OMEN by HP - 17t-an100 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there!

My name is Kaiden, and I am having some issues with my Omen gaming laptop's battery. It is undetectable by HP support assistant Battery Check, which leads me to believe the battery is completely dead.

I am trying to figure out the type of battery I would need to buy, and if I would even need one to continue using the laptop. I have it plugged quite often and it has been working for about an hour (at the time of writing this post) without the battery. For the battery status, just says (plugged in).

If anyone could give me any insight on where I could get my new battery (would be willing to give whatever information is needed to assist in finding it), and if I would even need one if I just started treating it like a desktop.

Thanks!

Your machine is a CTO machine therefore its REAL specs is N/A. Depending on option you selected, your machine can have one of the following batteries

  • 8 cell 82 WHr 2.8 AH Li-ion (for products with N17P (GTX 1050/GTX 1050Ti) processors) part # 922976-855
  • 8 cell 82 WHr 3.0 AH Li-ion (for products with N17E GTX 1070/GTX 1060 processors) part # 922977-855

Batteries are N/A from HP parts store

           https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=922977-855

           https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=922976-855

You can use part # to search online stores such as Newegg, Amazon .... eBay. I've found them on Newegg but HP won't allow me to post the links. Please use Google and search yourself.

Regards.
