HP Recommended

My 6 months old HP victus battery is draining so fast such that when fully charged it just stays only for about 45 minutes. The major applications used are visual studio code and chrome for searching. Apart from this,the lap is not used for any types of games. Anybody please suggest me ways to avoid this🥺, without replacing the battery.
