Battery not charging when connected to AC power.

Hi,

My laptop won`t charge when connected to AC power. It works, as far as I know, if I use it when connected to the charger. The charging light turns on when connected, so im sure it gets power. However, when I try to connect it to my monitor the screen turns black, and it freezes. I have noticed that the battery percentage is constantly on 0%, even though I have charged it for more than an hour. 

I have tried to update the BIOS. I have also done the UEFI Hardware Diagnostic tests, both my charger and battery passed. I noticed when I checked my battery, that in the test diagnostic the battery life was at 95%. 

Please give me some advice for help. I use my pc for editing, and won`t trust ut before the battery situation is fixed.

Update.

It doesn't work properly with the charger connected. It just shut down on me, and won't turn back on again.
