Product: Pavilion 15 gaming cx0140tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wanted to replace my laptop battery. But I found there 2 versions 3 cell and 4 cell. Currently 3 cell battery is in use. Is it safe to replace 3 cell battery with 4 cell or it might harm the pc? 

Moreover where i can find genuine hp parts?

I have tried the replacement parts site the battery is not available there.

Your machine supports

  • 4 cell battery part # 917724-856
  • 3 cell battery part # L08855-856

They are the same size and will fit.
