Battery undeliverable by HP ?

Hey all,

First poster here! 

So I started my laptop this morning and HP assistant showed me a warning about my battery, it said it should be replaced.

First thing I thought was, well that's early.. Just had this laptop for 2,5years.

Anyways, started searching for a battery on the HP website, but could not find anything about this type. 

So I thought, well guarantee is over anyway, let's open this bad boy! 

After reading how this should be done I opened it and this little sticker said this:
'Replace with HP spare L48495-005', so I started searching on HP's hp.parts.com but to my surprise I do not get ANY hits for this number..??

Does anyone know if there is another number I should look for, or another website you can refer me to to get my new battery?

Welcome to the HP Community.

HP does not manufacture batteries - many times the replacement battery is not available directly from HP.

Answer

Use the Part Number to find and purchase a compatible battery from a merchant of your choice.
