OMEN by HP 15-ax211no Laptop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Suddenly my battery stopped charging. It is stuck at 9%. If i disconnect the power adapter it will use the remaining of the battery. Tried running a digonostic on the HP Battery checker and got an OK where it says the battery cells charges and uncharges. Tried also to use device manager and uninstall Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant. Dont think it is the power adapter since it runs perfectly when it is connected, with the exception of not charging the battery. Tried checking for loose cable to the adapter and changing power source without it helping. So now i am very confused if this is fault is software, battery or power adapter.

Hi! @Magnus2202

Have you tried charging your laptop using a different adapter or battery?

Were there any recent windows update on the PC?

Try updating the BIOS and chipset drivers on the PC to the latest version and check if it helps.

Try updating the BIOS using this link. Click Here

Also, update the chipset drivers on the PC using this link. Click Here

Run Power Troubleshooter.

On Cortana, enter  Troubleshooter then select Troubleshooting.
Click Improve power usage to open the window, then click Next.
This should run the troubleshooter and can fix any detected issues. You may try restarting your computer and charge your battery again.

Also, Try calibrating and run a battery test on the laptop.
